Since I had the scotch fillet last time, decided to try the sirloin steak today.

Sirloin Steak (250g) w/ Salad, Fries, Green Peppercorn Sauce
The sirloin ($24.50/250g) was a noticeably smaller cut than the scotch fillet ($24.50/300g). Although the scotch fillet was more tender, the sirloin has that nice charry outside and more defined texture inside.

Last time with the scotch fillet, I opted for the mushroom sauce and they also added a lot of chicken salt to my fries. I didn't like the mushroom sauce or chicken salt at all - it just tasted of msg and made my mouth dry, thirsty and uncomfortable. It also masked the flavour of the food a little.

I actually enjoyed today's steak more than the other day only because there was no chicken salt on my fries and the pepper sauce didn't have that same msg taste as the mushroom sauce did.

I'm not a huge fan of salad usually but a little bit of greens to go with my meat is tolerable. I quite enjoy the little side salad that comes with the steaks here - tomato, cucumber, lettuce, onion and a light vinaigrette dressing. Quite refreshing and a nice accompaniment to the meat.

All in all, both were quite enjoyable meals.
