This is one of the many "sushi train" type joints in Bondi Junction. What makes this place more awesome is $2.90/plate for all plates making it the most sushi bang for your buck - and more sushi is a happy me.

It's on top of the train/bus interchange - near the Mcdonalds there. Accessible via the bus/train interchange or via the ramp/walkway that heads out to Oxford Street Pedestrian Area.

Aburi Scallop Nigiri

The seared scallop sushi is good quality and fantastic value. The exact same thing goes for $5.50 at Sushi Train just down the road. Here, it is just $2.90

Aburi Salmon Nigiri

Salmon Avocado Inside Out Roll
Inari Boats With Aburi Salmon/Scallop And Avocado
These inari boats are cool. Inari on the outside, rice inside topped with avocado and seared scallop, and avocado and seared salmon, finally drizzled with mayo and tonkatsu sauce. I rarely see these made anywhere else. Quite unique to this joint. These morsels are also rather delicious.

Chicken Katsu + Avocado Nigiri
The chicken katsu + avocado nigiri topped with tempura flakes, mayo and tonkatsu sauce is quite good. Crunchy on top with the smooth avocado melting in your mouth providing a nice balance of textures. Though really, I just like avocado with anything.

Californian Roll
Californian roll: seafood stick, avocado, cucumber inside out roll topped with salmon roe and mayo. Quite a nice combination.

However, in my opinion, nothing beats the combination of salmon and avocado. Truly a match made in heaven.

I also had a calpis water to wash down my sushi with ($3 for a can).

The bill came to $20.40.

The same thing would have cost $30 at Sushi Train. I also noticed Sushi Go-Round pricing is pretty similar to Sushi Train.

The quality and freshness of ingredients at Sagunja is not bad at all. It's actually writing this post that kind of makes me wonder myself why I always go to Sushi Train :p I should really start coming here more often instead.

Quite a good feed :D

Final Thoughts:
- Beats the other "sushi train" type joints in terms of value in Bondi Junction
- Decent quality
- Good variety of sushi available
