Kaiten-Zushi is Japanese for sushi train/sushi-go-round/conveyor belt sushi. Umi Kaiten-Zushi is opposite Capitol near Chinatown.

Scampi Nigiri Sushi $4.50
The raw scampi was wonderful. It was so fresh, sweet and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. We also ordered the cooked scampi sushi but I liked the raw scampi better. The raw scampi was just so sweet and fresh and cooking it takes something away from that.

Salmon+Tobiko Flying Fish Roe+Mayo $3.50
I absolutely love this plate. It is among my favourites (similar to Carole's Special from Sushi Club). The combination just tastes so good in your mouth. I had a few plates of this one.

Scallop Topped w/ Salmon Roe w/ Avocado + Cucumber Roll $4.50
The scallop plate had a lot of ingredients: raw scallop topped with tobiko sitting on top of avocado and cucumber inside-out rolls with sesame seeds. I think the scallop could have been fresher so this plate wasn't as good as it potentially could have been.

Tuna Nigiri $3.50
The tuna nigiri wasn't bad - it had a good fish to rice ratio and was very fresh. Which reminds me, we also had salmon nigiri but I think we must have eaten it too fast for me to take a pic. I know, shame on newb food blogger.

Aburi Beef Nigiri Topped w/ Spanish Onion $3.50
The aburi beef nigiri sushi was ok - I don't remember it being mindblowingly awesome or anything.

We also had a calpis water and a cold oolong tea for drinks and the bill came to $50.70 for 2.

Overall, the meal wasn't bad but I'd come back here for the scampi and the salmon+flying fish roe plates. Those two plates were absolutely fantastic.
