A simple low-key Chinese meal at Silks.

First up were the oysters. Pretty mediocre really.

Deep fried prawn, coated with egg yolk on pastry
The prawns were tasty and quite visually appealing. The pastry was on the oily side but that's as to be expected for deep-fried goodies.

Stir fried beef with vegetables
Stir fried beef with broccoli and sugar snap peas: nothing particularly exciting about this dish and looks and tastes exactly as it sounds. Not really my dish of choice as I usually am not a fan of Chinese beef. I find the texture and taste rather boring. Give me a good steak, beef tataki, yakiniku or gyudon any day of the week instead.

Overall, the food served here was just your standard Chinese restaurant fare. The quality, ingredients and standard of cooking was mediocre. I found most dishes on the overly salty side of things.

At the end of the day, it's a Chinese restaurant in a casino. Enough said right?
